After living in Florida and Japan for the past 6 years, I’ve forgotten what a Missouri winter feels like. It’s nothing like the north pole or anything, but it does hit below zero from time to time. After not experiencing such a winter for so long, this beach bum was singing the winter blues. California was the perfect cure for such a sad case of the blues and our vacation couldn’t have been any more perfect. One of the most relaxing parts of the trip was enjoying a beautiful sunset atop of none other than Ocean Beach’s Sunset Cliffs.
With views like this, thoughts of frigid weather were far from my mind…

I was so sad to leave California. With all the Navy bases scattered along southern California, I have hopes that one day I will be a California girl just like Katy Perry.
