Sometimes I just need a little peace and quiet. So, I took a few days and went up north to get a little dose of the country. There’s a little town in Missouri called DeKalb that’s just a wee bit north of Kansas City. When I say little, I mean that the population is 257. The day after we got there it snowed and snowed and snowed some more. This was Aliana’s first snowy day ever. What else is there to do with piles of snow other than play in it? You’re right. Nothing.
And so we played.

Actually, Aliana was “hunting”. Then she was exploring.

Oh, and she ate some, too.

Our family friends, Mark and Marlene live here. Their house is beautiful but even prettier when it’s covered in snow.

Aw, heck. Everything looks better covered in snow. Except roads. You really don’t want the roads covered in snow.
Alas, I am finally in California enjoying the sunshine and 75 degree weather. No snow, just pure rays of warm sunshine. Be jealous, Missourians. Be very jealous.
So beautiful
